24 year old Rowan Caine works for Little Nippers, a nursery in London. One day browsing she sees an advert for an incredibly well paid, live in nanny vacancy, working for the Elincourt family.

Bill and Sandra are architects who love in a remote area of Scotland….this is an opportunity too good to miss. So Rowan applies, her stunning CV should hopefully be enough…..

She is invited to Scotland for an interview and when she arrives, she realises how much she wants this position….the house is Victorian on the outside and almost futuristic on the inside...with the ever present Happy.

As she leaves, young Maddie whispers to warn her not to take the job, the ghosts wouldn’t like it…!

Rowan is offered the job, leaves her life in London and joins the Elincourt family….only for Bill and Sandra to leave on a works trip, so Rowan is left with Maddie, Ellie and Petra and of course Happy...the house automation, surveillance system. Oh and Jack the handyman…

What follows is a creepy tale, told from Rowan’s perspective and her letters to her solicitor…...you see she has been accused of murdering one of the girls!!

With the creepy house, footsteps in the attic, a poison garden and secrets, this is an incredibly intense, tension packed gothic thriller…..with a completely gasp inducing ending…..I loved it.
