Review: Roam

Roam Roam by Erik Therme
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sarah has a controlling boyfriend, Matt. On her 21st birthday, he gets drunk and when her car breaks down, he gets nasty. Sarah, scared for er safety, decides to walk to find help, alone.

She is picked up by Kevin, who says he will drop her at home….when at home she has an argument with her mother and leaves…...nearly getting run down, it turns out to be Kevin. He offers to drive her anywhere she needs to go….he likes to do two good deeds a day! Sarah says she wants to find her friend, Scotty, so off they go.

As they get to know each other, Sarah begins to have feelings for Kevin…..does he feel the same?

Then there’s Scotty, a troubled young man to say the least…..his mum has died, his dad is brutal and he sees things.

Eventually, after near assaults and violence, they meet up…..but who is lurking in the dark?

This is a tale of troubled youth, of absent or abusive parents and the effect this has on the minds and bodies of the young. Brutal, scary and heartbreaking at times, this is a fast, gripping read.

Thank you to Sarah at Book On The Bright Side for the opportunity to participate in this blog tour and for the promotional materials and a free copy of the ebook. This is my honest, unbiased review.
