Review: The Murder Mile

The Murder Mile The Murder Mile by Lesley Mcevoy
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

DCI Callum Ferguson calls Jo, a civilian forensic profiler, early one morning and ask her to view a crime scene. Another young woman has been found murdered…

Calling her has angered the police profiler, Lizzie Taylor-Caine and as a result Jo is treated as a suspect, when one of her patients, Martha is murdered..

But, she is then contacted by Jack, who thanks her for setting him free……

What follows is a tension filled drama, filled with murders copying those of the original Jack the Ripper….is the murderer someone close to Jo? How did they get access to her personal details?….will they find them before more deaths?

I can’t say too much for fear of spoiling the stunning climax of the tale……a nail biter of a novel and is a unique and original crime thriller….wonderfully engrossing writing by Lesley McEvoy.
