Review: Little Siberia

Little Siberia Little Siberia by Antti Tuomainen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A meteorite lands in the small village, and as it’s so rare it is worth a million euros. So it is being kept in the local war museum for security reasons.

Joel, is also a security guard and the night shift at the museum, when there’s a break in…..but after assaulting him, they only get away with an old grenade, with disastrous consequences…

Will they try again?

Pastor Joel has issues, his wife is pregnant….he cannot father children due to a war wound, so who is the father? Russians want the meteorite and a daily visitor to the church wants to discuss the end of the world..every day..

This is full of dark humour, death, betrayals and even an elk….it did remind me of Fargo in that accidental deaths seem to follow Joel. This tale of life in a small Finnish village, a meteorite and its mix of characters is a gripping thriller with its touches of humour and absolutely brilliant. I loved it.
