Review: Justice Gone
Justice Gone by N. Lombardi Jr.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A bar owner sees a homeless man on the street, he worries it will affect trade, so he tells the barman to call the police and tell them he was trying to steal cars….
Two cops show up and are aggressive from the off and start to beat him, back up arrives and they too start hitting the guy….in the end 6 of them best and taser the man until he is unresponsive ….and dead. He was a decorated war vet
and treated as nothing…..all to common unfortunately.
The men involved are put on administrative leave…..some are killed though..
There are protest marches and the media want answers….and demands for justice for this poor man.
“A person’s behavior can be considered a result of all the experiences he or she has had up to that point, continually evolving as one grows older.”
Dr. Tessa Thorpe is a counsellor. She was Jay Felsom’s counsellor and she’s also the counselor for his best friend, Donald Darfield, who has taken his own revenge for the death of his friend.
This book takes an emotive look at the current situation in the US…where cops seem a law unto themselves and a little too quick on the trigger when dealing with anyone with a possible psychological issue…..not much empathy!!! How can the disadvantaged get justice?
Justice Gone is a psychological thriller with Dr Tessa Thorpe, and situations all too common. Great emotive and empathetic writing in this clever psychological drama by N Lombardi Jr.
Thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources for a free copy of the ebook. This is my honest, unbiased review.
