Review: Mother
Mother by Hannah Begbie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is not the sort of book I usually read, but it sounded so interesting I thought I give it a go. WOW, I’m so glad I did, it covers the difficult topic of the life limiting Cystic Fibrosis and the diagnosis in a new born baby girl, Mia. Hannah Begbie, has created such great characters, in Cath, Dave, Richard and Rachel and the details of the condition and treatments is harrowing at times. I genuinely cared about them all....it made me cry too. A truly gripping read, sad too but also hopeful.....brilliant.
I would like to thank the author/publisher/NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review
